Overland map

Hi there,

An overland map I drew this afternoon (color pencil).

I'm going to try adding cities and roads with Coreldraw.

That does not look like it was done with a color pencil! Be interesting to see what you can do to it using effects and other options in Corel. Looks good.

Ah, another corel user! Good to know! What version are you using? Have you done any maps that I can take a look at? I'm thinking about starting a CD mapping forum if I can get enough interested people/users. I know there's a few out there from the qty of my (humble) tutorials that have been downloaded.
All the best,
-Jim

[hijack]Hey Jim, I'm interested ! I downloaded your tutorials. I haven't used them... yet. However, I have done the following map for my homebrew using a combination of Fractal Terrains Pro, Campaign Cartographer and Corel Photo-Paint. I still have some work to do, but I'm quite proud of it :D[/hijack]

I like the map, A.R. It would be interesting to see a version with saturated colors, cities, roads, and stuff. I hope you will update :)

Hiya GG! First off, where's the map *drool*? There's just a little icon showing at this end.
Let me know if the tutorials are any good, there's been about 30 in total D./L'd so far but no-ones sent me any comments on them.

I was discussing a similar topic about making a dundjinni-type dead tree at DF:
http://www.dragonsfoot.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=9045
and I did some explaining (or tried to, I don't consider myself a good teacher) of my method for the brush used in the new DF module map (JF's collaboration) and I did a quick jpg of how I made the brush to go along with the explanation in the thread.

Also, send me an email so I can start compiling a list of interested parties (your the first btw)

Campaign Cartographer, also know as CC2-Pro, is a CAD based cartography program by Profantasy. They also produce Fractal Terrains for large scale (ie world) mapping.

You can find out about the programs here.

You can buy them directly from Profantasy, or you can also go through RPGNow.com.

Excellent map! And thanks for the tutorials, I'm having fun reading through them... you should definitely start those forums you were talkinga bout.
