D&D 5E (2024) Paizo Abomination Vaults on Dndbeyond!

Well, be that as it may...working with Paizo, MCDM, and Kobold Press in particular represents outreach to the companies most alienated by prior WotC shenanigans.
True. It's also giving WotC more and more control of the market. Which is saying something. And it sucks for those 3PP who dont get a golden ticket. Like, say, the publishers of this forum.

I'm a perfect example of why DDB is bad for a lot of 3PP. DDB is amazing! It saves me a ton of time and money, and facilitates my games like no other product in my long years in the hobby. It's so good that I won't buy a D&D publication that is not on DDB because I won't use it. So I'm not backing Morrus's new Sidekicks and Familiars KS, even though it sounds amazing and right up my alley, because it lacks DDB integration and so I know I won't be able to use it in my games.

Thing is, that would be the case whether or not WotC got other publishers involved.

I am running this in PF2 via Foundry and it's a great adventure that I think would work for 5E pretty well. If you have the physical or PDF copies of it, I can't think of a reason to buy this for Beyond. Trying to run this in Maps compared to Foundry would make my cry.

There are map sets out there for the adventure that are sort of "remastered" ones from the Foundry module. I'd use a set of those in the VTT of your choice.

I started getting more interested in Pathfinder again when there was the 5e conversion book for Kingmaker. I wanted to pick up the Abomination Vaults 5e adaptation, knowing that it was a well-regarded adventure and that sales data talks.

Then the OGL fiasco happened. Abomination Vaults 5e was put on hold for a year while Paizo worked on the PF 2e Remastered books. Eventually it came out, but not with as much fanfare as it could have.

My hopes for Paizo publishing more 5e content so I can more easily enjoy the world of Golarion were gone. No way would Paizo do anything with 5e now that they have PF 2e Remastered and they totally got rid of the OGL.

This seemed to come out of nowhere. I'm glad to see it and I hope I can eventually purchase a copy, even though I have the physical book. Sales data talks, right?

So we'll see. One can always hope.

If by "does this include Maps pre-setup" maps, you mean "does it come with Quickplay maps already prepped with tokens and fog-of-war", then the answer is "no". The only products which have Quickplay (pre-setup) maps available so far are Dragon Delves and Intro to Stormwreck Isle.

That said, Abomination Vaults does still add thirteen maps to Maps, each with both a Player version and a DM version. There is a map for each level of the dungeon, plus a side view map of the whole dungeon, a map of Otari and a map of a location called Smuggler's Refuge.
What they said.

(Hello from Gen Con!)

My opinion is DDB may be good for 3PPs working like a showcase. Thanks this those publishers are known by more players and after these can go to their webs to look for more titles. It is like a cheaper way for advertising. There are several examples of 5e settings after the crowdfunding fall into oblivion until the next project.

Could we see a Paizo's pack with the core PC species from Stafinder?
