Last time I looked at the numbers, the Wizzos forums got about half the traffic of ENWorld.Olaf the Stout said:I imagine the WotC site would get a lot more traffic than EN World so I would have expected their thread to be much bigger.
Hmmm . . . now that makes me really wonder if moving to an e-zine format is wise . . . ?
A couple of days to digest the news, and I'm really surprised how disappointed I am that Dragon won't be around anymore. It's not like I'll miss the content of either rag - I stopped reading Dungeon when Polyhedron was axed and I gave up on Dragon (and 3e, for the most part) when 3.5 was released.
But as others have said already, Dragon has always been an intergral part of being a gamer, and even if it didn't speak to me anymore in its current iteration, I enjoyed the nostalgia hit of seeing it on the shelf at the hobby shop.
Which reminds me . . . I wonder how retailers feel about the change?
