No. She is able to have LG clerics. Paladins are required to be lawful good but there is not requirements at all that they follow a god or what alignment their god must be.

Thus, you could be a paladin of Boccob or even Cyric, though doing so would probably require that your paladin consistently fight the orthodoxy and live in imagination land about the actual teachings of her god. Of course, since actively pursuing the tenants of an evil god will end up requiring evil acts eventually, no paladin would ever actually chose that.

I think that Obad-hai for Greyhawk, Tymora for FR, and the Undying Court for Eberron are all interesting (and non-contradictory) choices.

Red Knight in FR, is an unusual goddess. She is the LN demigoddess of planning and warfare, a sort of counterpoint yet 'daughter' of Tempus. A palading of her,... would be a righteous dog of war. Leading sanctified followers against the forces of darkness, front ahead, but with also more brain than generaly accepted.


That god of revenge also, hum..,. what is his name? He is also a good different choice. A crusader, rightfull vengeance guy. Great choice for a Paladin player who wish a Grey something PrC - that PrC who allow more.. ambiguous codes.


And if you like her, Mystra 9as Azuth?) have paladins. Paladins of a magic goddess, that is unusual - hunter of guys who really abuse magic, liches and all, I guess.


A few nonhuman, classsic core race gods allow paladins, like Moradin and interestingly Yondala.

Isn't that St. Cuthbert, who I mentioned in the op? Pallys of Cuthbert are fun to play, especially with the Grey Guard class, though.

In Greyhawk, there's Merrikka, the LG goddess of agriculture. Her paladins might well have Turn Plant or Animal instead of Turn Undead, and have a love/hate relationship with Druids.

Tritherion (the Summoner)? He's Chaotic Good, but the idea fits. One of my favorite PCs was a 2.5ish ed. Cleric/Rogue who was a high priest of Tritherion. He usually hung out on rooftops in the seediest portions of Greyhawk.

I've always liked this idea.

IMC, the LN goddess of death and magic does allow Paladins. These so-called Moon Knights are bidden to hunt and destroy free-willed undead (who, interestingly enough, tend to be chaotic evil). They can command and control mindless undead. They do not create undead, but are permitted to associate with LN clerics who can do so. Clerics of this deity may receive special dispensation to create mindless undead in service of the Church without it being an Evil act, but they are held accountable for the actions of their creations.

These clerics and knights are strong in my world's version of Hollowfaust.

Yes, Hoar - I am more knowledgeable about the realm. He is LN, if I rememeber well. Paladins allowed but rarer (if interesting dudes).
