Paranoia From D&D

Quantum

First Post
Well, thanks to all of my years of playing D&D, every time I see a statue, I get all paranoid that a Medusa is nearby. Of course I don't say anything to my friends on the off chance they'd think I was crazy or something, you know.

The Statue Of Liberty? What makes you so sure that really isn't a giantess that was turned into metal by a Medusa who could turn people into metal instead of stone?

It could happen you know.

It's not really paranoia but it is indicative of the influence that D&D has on my thinking:

When a beautiful girl asks me to do something, I sometimes feel myself gearing up to make my will save versus charm...really.:)

Of course you know, there could also be a Medusa that works in reverse, turns statues into real people, that is.

But I'm now convinced that's what happened to the Statue Of Liberty. Giants are awfully rare in this world, thanks to a long line of giant killers hunting them down for port and profit. So the artist got a giantess to psoe for him, then he brought out a Medusa who could change people into metal instead of stone,l and well, there she is.

Monstrous I tell you.

We need to find a way to reverse it.

So what do you think of when you see this statue?
