Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder First Print Run Sold Out

Well, if you want to settle the tie, looks like you are bringing Necrons. My Black Templars love making found-art sculptures from Necron parts. Even Space Marines need a hobby.

You want to play your Nids you have some painting to do, mister. What do you have, two of those guys done? :p

Yes... it will have to be Necrons, just to make things nice and tidy. Sometime after Gencon... it is ON!

As for my nids, I will have you know that I have 6 painted... which leaves me only about 40 to go.

Ugh.. damn hormagaunts.

OK, you've thread-crapped my praise paizo thread enough! So, before one of the mods comes around and turfs your sorry arse out of the thread, perhaps as making amends you could provide a tidbit of information or trivia about this entire Pathfinder process that has not yet been revealed. Nothing as crass or useless as size of print runs or what not, but something really juicy and interesting. Something special for us folk here at EN World who really dig all the hard work you guys have done.

Best Regards
Herremann the Wise

PS: And again, congratulations on achieving the fantastic success you guys deserve. :)

Hmmm... well, this story has been told before but never on a messageboard.

When we were editing the Pathfinder RPG Core Rulebook, I kept getting the same comment back again and again about the marvelous pigments magic item. Go ahead and check it out in the Beta or some other 3.5 source (you might want to look under Nolzur). I'll wait....

Anyway, I got back edits from three different folks around the office and all of them said the same thing. The sentence that reads "The pigments are applied by a stick tipped with bristles, hair or fur" was circled and the note ready "You mean a BRUSH?" Everyone wanted it changed...

It was an odd way of saying it, which led us to dig around older books, going as far back as we could in the office, and the description was the same in every one of them. It was one of many weird little legacies.

After much discussion... we kept it the way it was.

That is pretty cool painting, myself I have the artistic and musical talent of a gnat. My Napoleonic, ECW etc armies looked rubbish back when I wargamed at school -yay for the modern era in 1/300th, green colours all! My recent painting goes the same way, painting a model of an F3 like I flew over Iraq and a Fairey Fulmar like my Grandad flew off Ark Royal... both pretty much all grey!

EDIT: LOL nice story an (unknown) sacred cow not turned to hamburger! When was it first written like that?

Here's a tidbit unrevealed elsewhere.

We decided the next four core classes for Pathfinder today. As in the whole staff agreed on the conceptual and mechanical niches and we've officially green-lit development.

And we'll announce which ones at Gen Con!

As for the minis.. entertaining. I was contemplating starting an imperial guard army for the same reason (so that they would be easy to paint).

As for the Marvelous Pigments, I forget how far back it goes, but it is described the exact same way in my 1st Edition DMG, which is far back enough for me.

Oh God no! The eyes... the hundreds and hundreds of eyes... With their off-centered pupils staring at you for hours as you try and get them right.

Believe me, after the 300th guardsman you'll start seeing their faces in your sleep.
