Pathfinder 1E [Pathfinder] Looking for a replacement for theme feats

That said, many past campaign traits have edged to the higher end of trait power (Sword Scion, I'm looking at you), so I'm a bit more willing to be forgiving anyway.

HA!

On that note, I was very tempted to trick Ryan into letting me put in some Achievement Feats.

What, like "You killed an enemy with a boomerang! Achievement Unlocked! Now you get +2 damage with thrown weapons, and all your thrown weapons are returning!" ?

Well, more like "you killed 50 people with boomerangs," but yeah, something like that. ;)

(I have a dirty confession to make: I actually kinda liked the achievement feats.)

Seriously, in my friend's Rogue Trader game, he offered a free permanent fate point (basically, you can spend it to say, "No, I didn't actually die.") to the first person to kill an enemy with a boomerang. He knew I'd jump on it, and I think he was upset with me one-shotting anything I aimed at with my melta gun (basically, it fires the sun at you).

Yeah, basically they're free feats you get over the course of a campaign. "Accomplish X, get Y"

They had them in the Legacy of Fire AP and some of them were pretty powerful. Heal 1000hp (but damage lowers the total at 1:2 ratio), but after making it, all your healing is maximized. Stuff like that.

BTW, I assume you got your free fate point? :)

Rugult I'm really liking the sound of those Feats. They might be a bit of a nightmare to keep track of, but they'd be especially cool if the players didn't know about them on the onset and once they'd achieved them they were presented in some cool way. I know this is completely OT now, but do you know of anywhere I could find a good list of these (assuming of course all this discussion hasn't swayed RangerWickett)

benfromidaho They are really neat in concept, though fairly hard to pull off mechanically. One thing about them is the player has to pick one and declare they are going after it at the start of the campaign.

The D20 Pathfinder SRD has the Legacy ones listed. These feats vary in power / attainability quite a bit: Achievement Feats - Pathfinder_OGC

If you're really curious, there's a product from Tricky Owlbear Publishing that has about 50 of em: paizo.com - Error

Now knowing RangerWickett, he's likely been brewing up some in his mind already :P
