Over on PCGamesN, there's a first-look at the game, including some screenshots. They'll be using Kickstarter again to fund the sequel, with the campaign launching on Tuesday, February 4th. I'm not sure if this uses PF1 or PF2 rules.

The Wrath of the Righteous adventure path was originally published in 2013. "The Worldwound tore reality apart at the dawn of the Age of Lost Omens, murdering the nation of Sarkoris and unleashing a ravenous demonic horde upon the world. Only the quick action of several other nations of knights, barbarians, and heroes stemmed the demon army and contained it within lost Sarkoris, and for the next century, crusade after crusade tried to defeat the demons only to fail time and time again. Their greatest success, the line of magical artifacts known as wardstones that stand sentinel along the Worldwound's border, barely manages to contain the demons. So when one of the wardstones is sabotaged, a city falls and the demons within surge out in a massive assault like none before. Even before the Fifth Crusade has begun a city has fallen and some of the crusaders' greatest defenders and heroes are slain. Can anyone rise up against the demon host to prevent the armies of Deskari, the demon lord of the Locust Host, from swallowing the world?"

I haven't touched Pathfinder in years, but am interested in this. Whether or not I back the kickstarter depends on how far out the delivery date is...

Have you given P2 a look? It is definitely more streamlined and easier to digest.

I did, and much like I did with Kingmaker the Game, I bounced right off of PF2 too. With two young(er) children and my friends at the same stage, even PF2 is just too much. We need something that is fun out of the box without too many fiddly bits.

The core idea that characters are puzzles you build piece by piece over levels is attractive to many players, but poison to busy people. It also made a lot of trouble in the PF games I DM'd despite most of the players forum-delving for their builds. Too much power-gap between "fun" concepts and optimized ones.

Those are fair criticisms of P2. I would say that, while I really enjoy the things it does in terms of customization the system is very locked down. I have been enjoying it, but I don't begrudge differing opinions on it.

I'm looking forward to this, but they need to really improve whatever it is they plan for the raising an army part of the game. The kingmaker game was great overall but the kingdom management really was lacking unless you used mods.

I don't really know what I should expect of it. It sounds a lot more linear and black/white than Kingmaker and I quite liked the bit of freedom and interaction you had with the kingdom building.
