Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder's Goblins

Nah, the seven Paizo virtues are actual opposites of the sins, rather than the biblical virtues. Unless I'm totally off my rocker. I'm not sure the Bible ever saw "Wealth" as a virtue; in the Paizo system, it's the "good" side of "Greed".

Yeah; they're new. They're the seven virtues of rule, and are meant to be opposites of the classic sins rather than being the classic seven virtues. Wolfgang Baur's actually the one who came up with them as part of the "History of Thassilon" article he wrote up for us for Pathfinder #1.

AND: I can't express how happy I am that so many folk dig our goblins. And Claudio... well done on that illustration! Yay! :)

I've gone from "I'll give a try to fill out my subscription" to "officially excited." Maybe in the time between now and then I can bring one of my games to a conclusion so I can justify starting up this to my players.

Somebody in another thread linked to this. I just found the synergy with the reimagining of the the goblins to be particularly apt. I love the idea of a goblin warren (for lack of a better term) with tunnels that come up into a large city's town dump, or maybe up into the sewers.

Great stuff.

Wayne Reynolds simply makes the greatest artwork. I've just seen the most recent character artwork on the Pathfinder blog. The sorceress and runelord look awesome!

The good ideas just keep coming.

One question to James or anyone from Paizo:
Those who "pre-subscribe" will get one player's guide to Runelords for free. I guess the other adventure paths will get their own player's guides. Will we get one of each of those for free, too?

And I just did:

Nice! Very symbolic, too: That guy looks like Regdar, a character Wizards has been using on so many occasions. He looks like he's being torn to pieces by Paizo goblins. What do you want to tell us here, Klaus? :D

"Those looking for symbols are bound to find them."

Just a coincidence, Kae'Yoss. In fact, this fighters armor is far less mishmashed than Regdar's. If anything, he's closer to the 1e depictions from Jeff Dee, DCSIII and others. Like these goblins are somehow bringing the game back home. ;)

James -> Glad you liked it! These little buggers are fun to draw! Can't wait to see more of Pathfinder!

As for WAR, he's not only very talented, but he's a little crazy. At last year's GenCon I got to look at some of his originals, and pictures with that many details have no business being as small as he makes them! His technical skills are on another level, and it's no wonder Paizo tapped him to re-imagine their setting.

I love the ideas behind this first Pathfinder adventure. The Runelords sound and look very cool.

But even they pale in comparison to the mighty Goblins!! I love WAR's look for them and the 10 traits of goblins in the blog are awesome! Excellent work!

Niiiiiiice. :)

Me likey. This is what I had hoped more companies would do with the OGL.

Looks like Paizo is going to be a solid bet with their future plans!
