We've seen the second cover already:

Am I, perhaps, correct in guessing that these are ghouls, with long tongues for licking marrow out of cracked-open bones? :D

Damn - rumbled! Those would appear to be the very fellows :)

If this is any indication of how the remakes are going to go, I'm really psyched.

? What remakes? Please enlighten me...I'm just getting back into this and the idea of remakes sounds good.
Thanks,
Steve

That's actually very close to the feel of the goblins I've been using for a long time, though I'm gonna have to use the "horse/dog-hate" bit, that's just classic.
Yeah, it's almost exactly the feel I've been using for goblins -- especially the dog-hate bit.

I haven't described them as looking like Stitch though. Or singing silly songs.

I am starting up AoW pretty soon (April 30th)... and now that campaign is one TPK away from becoming a Pathfinder: Burnt Offerings campaign instead.

Hi,

Those goblins are brilliant. The second cover's not bad either! Here's hoping the text inside lives up to the artwork.

Cheers

Paizo cranks out their blog for Pathfinder right after the announcement. Wizards tells us that we'll really enjoy what they have coming... But doesn't share squat. Well played, Paizo.

Now I look forward to Pathfinder even more, and I'll be on the edge of my seat for new blog updates.

Repeating what others have said: wow, those were really, really awesome. If Paizo is going to generally "update" and "redo" a bunch of classic monsters like this, then I just might have to get a subscription to Pathfinder (I've only ever gotten a subscription to one magazine in my life - not a big magazine person)! As much as I like D&D, the monsters have always bothered me. I read ancient Greek, Roman, Norse, British, European etc. literature and mythology a lot when I was younger, and the MM monsters just never did it for me.

But this? This was incredible... For the first time, I feel like I'm looking at a game that actually draws on everything I used to read and love.
