Although its pretty hard to get up to DC 44.

For instance, the Cimmerian, when he is level 30, will have a DC of 10 + 15 (1/2 level) + 11 (str bonus) = DC 36. With a +10 str enhancement item, that would be DC 41.

So, the Cimmerian probably wouldn't be DC 44 until level 40 or around there.

36 is nothing to shake a stick at. It's still a save I wouldn't have to make if my life deepened upon it.

PA, I'm curious are we doing the optional "death" damage from the Epic level handbook?

DC 44 is nice. Do you see many opponents that survive a critical hit? I've never played in an "Epic Level Handbook" game before.

I've not actually gotten to use the feat yet, but his own Fort save only hits +40 when raging, and nothing short of a dragon can beat his saves at his CR, so I'd imagine that it's going to be a one-hit kill on anything vulnerable to crits.

PA, is there a reason why we don't have an update yet? (nevermind you left us)

The Seer is waiting for Antillis to give up the Angel; he's not ready to attack yet, but he's not bargaining anymore, either.

I've tended to ignore massive damage rules; they detract from the feel of the game, where a single blow should never kill off a PC.

Very sweet.

Oh I see. I'm sorry I should have realized I thought he was waiting for the key... Which Brystasia gave to him rather reluctantly.

So death spells and effects due 20d6 correct?

I'm going to take a cue from such spells as Disintegrate; Finger of Death deals 2d6 per level, max 50d6 on a failed save, as will Wail of the Banshee (max 60d6), Implosion (max 60d6), and Destruction. Other death effects will be treated as a spell of similar level for the damage value.

Woops! Sorry about the delay. Rest assured I'm very into this game and reading every post but I must have missed that very important part. I can post in the evenings and some mornings. Again, sorry for holding things up. :(
