[PbP] EoM game: the graduates of Bluetower Academy

Cast level 0 Infuse Object with Fire, movement mode (10 ft ground speed). 600 lbs will be affected and this amount will increase as she repeats the spell.

Say, that's a good idea. I might lighten the stone to make it work (my calculations put a 10' diameter sphere of solid granite at almost 20 tons). I'll post results when I get home from work...

Elwent: does nothing (waiting to see how goblin reacts to the water)

Inkar: You mock the goblin. He is looking very, very angry.

Goblin: "What is this? Do you steal my water when I am away? Where did you get it? How did you get it?" He seems to realize that Amisel had something to do with the water, though he is ignoring the obvious spellwork that is going on, "I shall have my servents flay you alive for this! ATTACK!!!!"

Around you, rising from the dusty earth, rise a handful of creatures. Vaguely humanoid, they lack proper proportioning and definition, and lack facial features. Thair hostile intent is apparent nonetheless.

Kera: it will take you 3 more rounds to complete your castings, but you think it has a good chance of working. Lines of pure fire spread out in a web-like matrix following the grain of the stone from the points as you touch them.
(Your castings will cost you 8mp for 4 castings of a level 1 spell. When the spell description says 100lbs/level, I am assuming it means the spell level at which you cast the spell - i.e., first level. So it adds up to a total of 400lbs. This is not enough to lift the sphere, but I will rule that it is enough pressure to be able to nudge it and get it rolling. You've seen those things where one man can pull a jumbo jet, right? This is the same sort of idea.)

Inkar draws his Axe and tries to whack the goblin, knowing that he's probably the summoner of these creatures. If he's quite far he'll draw his bow and shoot at it.

Amisel will draw his sword and attack the servants, paying particular attention to those that could attack Kera (who in working on the boulder).

Amisel was watching for the goblins reaction, did he notice any casting by the goblin?

Elwent will cast Power Word: Exhaustion on the creatures, affecting up to 60 hp worth of them. The range is 35 ft with no saving throw (spell resistance applies) - he'll hold off if they're out of range. The targets move at half speed and take a -6 penalty to STR and DEX for 6 minutes (1d4+5). This costs 1 MP, leaving him at 21. Just working through all this to help myself learn it.

OOC: Krizzel, PW: exhaustion is a 1st level casting and costs 2mp. It seems a bit overpowered, since a large number of creatures might be totally disabled if their str or dex is 6 or under. Let's see how it goes, but I'm thinking of houseruleing a will save for the Power Word list for RL play. Here, their dex has been reduced to 2, but their hp are high enough that you only effect 2 of them, so it wasn't too bad).

Round 2!

Elwent: Casts Power Word: Exhaustion. Two of the attacking elementals' movements slow down.

Inkar: You have no trouble reaching the goblin and attacking him. You hit AC 19 and deal 13 points of damage. The goblin is still up, though badly wounded.

Goblin: "AHHH! Servents, I am wounded and must flee! Finish them off and tell me when they are dead!" He raises his arms (casting defensively) and vanishes.

Elemental 1 (exhausted): moves toward Elwent, will reach him next round.
Elemental 2 (exhausted): moves toward Elwent, will reach him next round.
Elemental 3: moves toward Kera and attacks, hitting AC 20 and slamming for 13 points of damage.
Elemental 4: moves toward Amisel and attacks, hitting AC 23 and slamming for 12 points of damage.
Elemental 5: moves toward Inkar and attacks, but rolls a 1 and misses.

Amisel: Casting can take many forms under EoM rules, and you didn't recognize the spell, but you suspect it was a form of magic. You attack the assaulting elemental (#4) with your sword, hitting with AC 18 for 6 points of damage.

Kera: You take a 5' step to avoid an AoO and cast your second Infuse Object with Fire.

Elwent will first move away from the creatures, hoping to stay out of their reach. Then, if it might work, he'll try to use spellcraft / knowledge-arcana to try and figure out if those creatures have an elemental type.

If that's not gonna work (the spellcraft description mentioned something about spending 8 hours :p ) then he'll just use Evoke Area Lightning 2, and try to hit 1 & 2 (10' sphere, 150' range, reflex DC 13 half, 13 [3d6+5] damage) without hitting any of the other PCs.

"Kera, continue your task, I'll allow no more harm to come to you. They cannot harm what they cannot see," Amisel says. Amisel will make a 5' adjustment to Kera and invoke Invisibility on her [Lasts 5 minutes, Kera will be invisible until she attacks. She can cast spells (just not attack spells)].

Amisel will fight defensively against the elementals blocking them from Kera.

Kera staggers backwards, clutching her midsection after elemental knocked the wind out of her. Another hit like that would put her on the ground. The spell will hold by itself for a bit. I can even fight fight back.

Screaming incoherently in Ignan, Kera sweeps her hand through an arc in front of her. A line of fire extends from it, and the elemental - and probably some others - are raked by the Inferno Lance as it is whipped through the air.

[Evoke Area Fire 3: Fan 30 ft, 5d6+6 damage 31 total, DC 23, side effects: low fire, objects vulnerable to fire may catch fire. MP 23/29]

After recieving Amisel's Invisibility, she mutters "Thank you" and casts Fast Healing 2 on her self backpedaling to avoid attackers if need be. [MP 20/29, duration 10 rounds, 1 HP per round.]
