I'm running a dwarven Starlock multiclassed into Psion, and i'm looking ahead at possible Paragon paths. Doomsayer, Hexer, Master of the Starry Night and the Cerulean Adept have all got some appeal to me, so far. The PC was inspired by Jeffrey Combs in "From Beyond" (Mythos), Ellcrys Guardians and pallasite meteorites.

Any others I should consider?

Since you're only multiclassed into Psion, it doesn't seem like you'll get much mileage from the Cerulean Adept.

Do you have many fear powers? And how many have saves? If you don't have many, you'll get less mileage from the Doomsayer.

Student of Caiphon is a really great PrC if you have many radiant or fear warlock powers.

Has the character had any specific interaction with organizations or does he have any specific goals? His history could lead him towards PPs that have certain themes.

Thanks for he reply!

Yeah- it's on my list mostly for it's flavor. This PC was conceived as being...well..."anti-Far Realms", and when the campaign started, it was PHB only. I could have redone the PC as a Psion when he opened up the sourcebook list, but by that time, I felt the Starlock really had the better flavor fit with his background, and the powers were fun.

Only 2 fear powers so far, but the PC is still low-level.

Again, only 2 for the same reason as above. I was concerned about the path's granted abilities, though.

Not as yet.

Additional: I'm also considering the Dreamwalker and the Life-Stealer.

It would seem some of the Dreamwalker's abilities work with ANY powers, so I wouldn't be limited to just Psionic stuff like the Cerulean- IOW, I could use my Warlock powers with the Dream Form.

As for the Life-Stealer, I'm strongly considering taking Twofold Pact: Infernal at 11th. One of the feats I'm taking before then is Student of Caiphon so I can burn HP to regain the use of powers that missed, and the Infernal Pact would let me gain temp HP to help me turbocharge that A bit more. (Ever play M:tG? My Starlock is sort of a Red/Blue/Black deck...)

I LOVE the Dreamwalker! It's just so cool! It's not going to be the best PrC mechanically for your character but come on--Dreamwalker! 'Nuff said!

You would lose out a little because Int isn't your primary attribute, you won't get to make use of getting CA from targets next to your Dream Self because you have fewer psionic powers, and the extra psionic points won't make much difference. But it has such great flavor and the Dream Self has numerous creative uses that you should go with it.

To fit with your anti-Far Realm character, maybe he becomes a Dreamwalker because the Far Realm is starting to infiltrate the plane of dream in addition to the material plane. And since the plane of dream hasn't been extrapolated on much at a in 4E, you won't be stepping on any canon toes! (Although no one should be too worried about breaking from canon. But that's another thread altogether.)

As things stand, the PC has balanced Con & Cha with Int just one point behind, so he won't be losing out much.

As for the extra psi-points, Awakened Potential and Psionic Toughness are on the list of Feats that will be taken, which will also help him fuel his Sacrifice to Caiphon. I'm also planning on taking Psionic Dabbler at Lvl 14 to get Void Shard.

I have one concern- as written, the Dreamwalker would SEEM to work with non-Psi powers, but there have been other bits of rules text that seemed to be broad but were subsequently erratad, like Sacrifice to Caiphon. Do you know of anything that says Dreamwalker can only use your Psionic powers?

Bolded above: doesn't "Twofold Pact" require that the character be a Tiefling? That might leave your dwarven starlock "out in the cold" -- to corn a phrase.

Not in front of my books at the mo- there IS some kind of "Two" feat that is tiefling only, but it's not that one, AFAIK.

EDIT: just checked- no Tiefling requirement.

Dreamwalker sounds cool. Unfirtunatley, Warlock, Psion (and Ardent) are the classes I've really not looked at much to help a whole lot.
