D&D 5E Pedantic pet peeves

In RPGs, very much DnD-isms:

Tulwar is a 2 handed scimitar (3E)
A longsword is one handed (DnD)
Chainmail/ chain mail has the word chain (DnD)
There is a broad sword (OS DnD)
A falchion is 2 handed (4E)

no, no, no, no, no. (Not always, anyway :p )

A general one. Writing of when the word should be off, or vice versa. "I could off done that." "Oh, come of it."

The use of "I could care less" to mean "I couldn't care less". If you could care less then you actually do care in some way. In fact this maybe really important to you, there is not enough info in that phrase to ascertain! ;)

Which... given the history of both phrases, is REALLY pedantic to the point of misunderstanding what "I could care less..." means. B-) (Pedantic about being pedantic.)

(That was one of two incorrect statements Weird Al made in Word Crimes that got one of my old English profs who I keep in contact with to just go nuts in a really, REALLY pedantic screed... it was hilarious.)
