People who do like the minis, which ones do you like best/least?

I find it odd that spiked chain is such a popular choice for players to use, but no mini wielding one has come out yet (except the chainmail grey elf)

Good:
Red Dragon. (it goes without saying, really) Even if the wings are a little floppy, it's such a cool model I had to find a way to use it in my game this week.
Orc Warriors. These are so much more useful to me as orcs than the MM pic, they fit my legions of god-created soldiers far better than the hairy axe-wielding apes.
Stalwart Paladin. You shall not pass... :D

Bad:
Human Commoner. Because it's almost useless in either game, and was so common. I had to engineer a peasent revolt in game to actually use some.
Skeleton. It's an excellent model, shame it's legs are way too thin and it bends in the middle of its shins.

I like the evolution classic monsters have undergone in the last couple editions. As such, I think it makes some of the creatures less anthropomorphic (and certainly more unique). This is one thing that makes the new minis come to life for me.

Anyway, the favorites...

umber hulk
troll
owlbear
bone devil
vrock
fire elemental
bright naga
carrion crawler
salamander
hill giant
lizardfolk

Is it really that popular for PC use? I've played a lot of games (with many players) since the release of 3E, and I've not seen a single PC use a spiked chain. I had an NPC who used a spiked chain (and used it for HeavyG's online campaign a year or two ago), but that's the extent of it for me.

Reaper has a couple.

but again remember it is an exotic weapon. so although, it looks nice, it can be rare...

So far its the red dragon and the vrock for favorites.

Least favorite would be any rare that is a medium sized humanoid. What a waste. <----IMHO

I find it hard to think of them as minis. To my mind, minis aren't bendy and don't come pre-painted. I think of them more like toys. I do have some and I like them but not in the same way as I do 'real' minis.

I like the dire ape the most.
I like this one too. I also like:
  • Troll
  • Centaur
  • Lizardman
  • Half-orc monk
  • Skeleton
  • Kobold Warrior (he's cute)
  • Water Elemental

I'm going to set up a diorama using some of my faves and the 3D Dungeon for Mage Knight. Should be an interesting display.
