"Medibaria...? No, it's as they said it would be. You are lying. Humans..." the elf scoffs, and turns about, "Obviously he has made it past our lines. I will return to the others."

*He begins to walk away.*

(OOC: Bleah, Natural 5 for Ashnar.

Oh, and Patlin, I remember you took interest in Zack's AC 15 before, did you know that he doesn't have a ranged weapon or any other form of ranged attack either? Zounds!)

ooc: I believe that caused him to spend several rounds vainly trying to get within range of an enemy while fighting on the Astral Plane.

(I'll go on the record to say that, if we'd only sent the crystal, we'd likely not have this problem. :p)

Ashnar shakes her head sadly. "You will draw first blood." she says calmly "Sage Thiliaerin has made it abundantly clear that he will do everything to stop the fellowships. One way or another, this war you want will start. We are just a convenient explanation. Confidence and prejudice colored his decisions, and we hear warmongering and threats from you. Is a desire to prevent or delay bloodshed human nature, then, and alien to elves? I don't think so. Are prejudice and warmongering elven nature? No, they aren't. Still, you will draw first blood, and that is what the other nations are going to see. That will be what matters to them. Most will likely even stay on the defensive, forcing you to come to them. Otherwise, your war would be a farce. Do as you must, but don't close your eyes to reality."

"Your posturing will not allow you to escape the fact that we wanted nothing more than peace, but you defiled our sacred ground and trampled on the rights of all elves, and Rivenblight in particular with your human greed. That must be where your little monkey is right now. We shall not stand for such abuse. The Council has said that if war must come, it will be a cold war that you have started. Do not expect the elves to assault other nations as humans do. We are more patient. But if you don't move out of our forest now, all the way out, you will become our prisoners of war. The same goes for your absent friend."

(OOC: Yeah, Vanitri's magicked up sneak-in was way too well-pulled-off for them to find him, but they were spying on you occasionally and did notice him missing)

"This is quite an amusing retort. I always thought that soldiers are allowed to think at least a bit. Let's go, friends, before he calls his companions to start his war. But remember my words, friend. Maybe if we meet again, you'll be an elf, rather than a mouthpiece."
With that, Ashnar turns to leave.

*The elf continues walking away slowly. It would be easy enough to attack him before he can escape, but the elves must either want that or be sure that the party will not try it or risk bad PR.*

(OOC: So does everyone retreat?)

"All we want is an information that is within the shrine. You could give it without us even entering the shirine or coming close. As your orders are not to let us approach, you'll have it repsected as you'll give us no reason to go there. Not only that, but you would prevent two wars, one between friend nations, one against an old evil. Is not stoping both would be the best thing to do, the right thing to do?"
