Persistent Spell [CA]

Sometimes the only way you'll see something in play is if it is House Ruled. Especially when new options intersect.

Yes, I totally agree. It is worse to totally ban an option than to offer a quick houserule to bring it back to sanity.

Thanx! Never would have found that. Somehow that implies I own too many DnD books.... What-a-minute...I do have too many DnD books.

You can never have too many D&D books. And if you think you can, my mailing address is...

That I agree with totally. I just thought the choice of the phrase "not broken" was amusing considering that it was immediately followed by a suggested house rule.

Divine MetaMagic isn't broken if you houserule it so you cannot cast a metamagic'ed spell with it that you otherwise could not cast because you are not a high enough level to have such a spell slot.

Nightstick isn't broken if you houserule it so you can only benefit from one nightstick in any given 24 hour period.
Exactly.

.....and I've *always* wondered why WotC didn't fix DMM as Mistwell (and hundreds of others) suggest. WotC had the opportunity. (Sigh)

That's an interesting definition of "not broken". After all, in theory nothing is broken if you heavily house rule it.

It was an attempt at economy of words. I could have said "X is broken. To fix it, you just houserule it to....". Instead, I made it one sentence "X is not broken if] you houserule it to...".

He did say it was 'not broken if...', which to me implies 'is broken if not...'. :D

glass.

Question to the use of that Feat

One Question to persistent Spell.
If one makes a Spell persistent that can be dismissed at will like Anti Magic Field for example
is it still possible to dissmiss the spell at will during the time he is persistent?
Or has one to wait a day until the Spell ends?

Khelvan.

I get this aswers O.o

Is up the power of persistent spell O.O

1- "Touch" is considerated a fixed range?
2- If touch IS NOT a fixed range. A magic that have the range of "Personal OR Touch" is qualified for the persistent spell (in the persistent spell is sayed "Spell with a fixed OR personal range") - my doubt in this case is because this case the magic have the two ranges and no one or other.

3- "Creature Touched" is a fixed range?

1) Yes!

2) Touch Is a fixed range!! So is personal! (see the first mailing! ;) ) Even if a spell has an option of touched or personal, both of those ranges are fixed. So the spell can still be persistent.

3) Yes.
