Well, I guess this is ok, as long as Mr. Jackson understands that after Halo is done, he will have to start work on The Hobbit.

It's not like the role of Executive Producer is some full-time gig or anything. It's certainly not going to keep him from proceeding with other work. I'm sure all of his other projects are proceeding apace. Odds are what he's doing most is lending his name to the project, so the other executive producers will have more success securing the financing.
