It is a very addictive little game where you pit poor little virtual animals who just want to be loved against each other in violent battles to win your affection.

Petz info is to be found in the main menu at the top of the page. Under "Petz".

Where are the "rules" for Petz? I'm unsure how combat works. I see how damage is calculated but what's counter? Do I have to wait to be attacked? Also how to I play or taunt a Pet? Can I taunt someone else's Pet? Can I taunt in battle?

You cannot taunt someone in battle or when you yourself are in battle. You can only play or taunt someone else's pet. play is on the bottom left of their stat screen. taunt is on the bottom right.

You must be attacked for counter to work and the formula for it is listed on the information page in the petz menu. counter is a couter attack and you both do more damage then normal.

Man, I would hate to see what the Petz of posters of Crothian's stature (for instance) would look like. Probably with tons of magical items, lots o' health, and so forth...

Meanwhile, I average about 1.6 posts per day...

You'll probably soon see what a pet of Crothian's looks like.

But, go look at Rufus or Grr Argh!. They are fair approximations of what you could do all at once with a pet what we have done over the span of 8-9 days.
