PHBB Santy Webworm Warning

I just got a message from a friend who uses PHPBB for his forums. They were hacked last night by the Santy worm - which completely screwed up his site, since then I have been sending messages to the people I know use earlier versions of PHPBB than 2.11. If anyone here uses a forum previous to that get it updated, it is vulnerable. It finds vulnerable sites through Google.

Are you referring to the Ferengi Blue Room? Because that messageboards got struck yesterday. The incident *angered* me to no end.

That's another worm of the same type. Once a worm or virus is succesful more cockroaches come out of the woodwork, trying the same approach.

Or someone will use an existing worm to carry something more malicious.
