“Both moves are very strong; Rini weaves mastery of wood, wind and metal into her move, while Temuro strikes to the heart of Rini’s labyrinthine technique. All things considered, I must congratulater Rini on her mastery of three elements; point to Rini.”

One flag Rini, two flags Temuro.

(OoC: Looks like I completely forgot about the Ancient Masters’ Decree this match. Shame on me! The ancient masters have decreed this match to take place at the paradise north-west of the Valley of Shadows on the night of the lightning.)

~4: The stealthy raven tumbles across the sea; conceals the tempest of the blade!~

::Rini goes for yet another move in the raven style, moving her kama in the cover of a "specialty" tempest::

(Hmm, druid = fun text)

“A tumbling bird flies poorly, though I grant that it must fly well enough to tumble stealthily across the sea. Temuro’s attack is adequate, and Rini’s defense is somewhat apt. Though her move may be weaker in many ways, Rini does conceal her intentions particularly well, allowing her to pierce her unprepared opponent’s defenses. Point to Rini.”

Two flags Rini, two flags Temuro.

Rini’s Hand:
1: The willow vanquishes the fountain; shreds the pain of the mire!

2: The snake thrusts the peaks; defends against the beauty of the holy ground!

3: The running phoenix appears on top of the ocean; defends against the stab of the crevice!

4: The wolf leaps over the well; shreds the onslaught of the bone!

5: The staff cuts the dungeon; dodges the onslaught of the abomination as it leaps over the storm of the spring!

Temuro’s Hand:
1: The tsunami bows with the badlands; quells the energy of the pole!

2: The northstar wounds the tundra; wards off the storm of the venom and completely fends off the offensive of the wind!

3: The unicorn severs the cliff; dominates the stab of the grass!

4: The phoenix devastates the ricefield; redirects the drive of the tree!

5: The spear severs the bluff; averts the rolling of the rodent!

4: The phoenix devastates the ricefield; redirects the drive of the tree! (dojo style - not that it is important :D)

Seeing that this will be the last round, Temuro decides on a devastating attack utilizing his new dojo style, while defending against the general style of Rini.

~5: The staff cuts the dungeon; dodges the onslaught of the abomination as it leaps over the storm of the spring!~

::Rini draws out an incredible staff against her opponents phoenix style, jumping left and right, and deciding to keep the tempest from her previous move going.::

"Ah, a strong conclusion to this hard-fought battle. Both fighters give their all, exerting themselves with powerful attacks and strong defenses. Rini's double defense is strong, but not very apt to her opponent's attack. Temuro's defense is slightly more appropriate, deflecting his opponent's tree-like staff. Alas, Rini's attack is flawed; the staff is a bludgeoning instrument, not a cutting weapon. The phoenix sets the staff ablaze; Point, Style and Match to Temuro."

Four flags Temuro, two flags Rini.
Victory to Temuro!

"Shiba Temuro, you are now a Green Belt 1, with a record of 5-4. You continue to press on past your earlier setbacks in the arena, and may progress to the semifinal round of the Tournament of the Phoenix Eye. Your opposition's skill and experience exceeds your own, but if the Fortunes favor you, you may yet obtain the prize you seek.

"Rini, you are now a Green Belt 1, with a record of 10-9. This was a difficult battle that could have gone either way, and there is no dishonor upon you for your loss. Hone your skills and your strategies, and you shall surely triumph in future conflicts."
