Photoshop mapping...

How many of you have used or use photoshop for mapping? I have put a bit of work into some photoshop maps, including furniture, walls, tiles, etc. I wouldn't mind sharing these files with others to use. I would love to see a database of photoshop images for mapping from different people so we can all pull from. Once the initial work is done with a photoshop image, you can use it and re-use it as much as you need, so they are pretty handy. Anyone interested in something like this or know of a place that already does this? Thanks guys...

Wierd coincedence, but I just started posting some of my Photoshop's maps and handouts in the Art Gallery, here.

I've been doing a lot of my maps in Photoshop for the past two or three years. I've also been scanning in my old, hand-drawn maps and tracing them and updating them that way. Using Photoshop's layers makes it very easy to do.

I'd love to be able to use the artwork some of you have done in my maps and for you to be able to use mine, as long as it's not for commercial release of course.

Actually, what I really need for Photoshop is a .PSD of 1" squares that would print out onto 8.5 x 11" paper. Then I could make up rooms in Photoshop to just set out as an impromptu battlemat...

KC, I have some that i've gathered from the net... but I'm sure they break a multitude of copyright laws. I do not publish them, but only use them for me and my players.

I like your maps btw, good work :). What version of PS do you have?

I have 6.0 at work, and 5.5 at home... I had 3.0 for a long time, and it was a quantum leap moving up to 5.5!

I like the images from your gallery... quite nice; I especially liked the Heraldry device, since that's one thing that I would like to do with Photoshop - I also have a ton of "found" images, especially castles and heraldric images and such. My hope is to figure out an easy way to make heraldric shields for a good number of the noble houses in my campaign world...

I'd be glad to post the actual photoshop files, not just the JPG's so all would be welcome to use the images, layers, etc within, but the files are quite large and I have nowhere to put them :(

I use hand drawn, scanned, Photoshop touched up map for outdoor maps. They came out really nice but I don't have a link handy. Making them is a pretty slow process though.
