That together mekes them swift runners and quick travellers; I see that in a nomadic race, but I´m not sure if that´s what you wanted for them.

They weren't particularly going to be know as nomadic, but they were going to be well known for being messengers.

You could just use the elemental excuse. They just "ARE" that way. I always liked that one for elemental creatures.

Or you could give them a racial weakness so as to allow them both strength and constitution...like...-4 dexterity?
