Pig stats

First Post
I was looking for stats for a pig and couldn't find any. i don't want to use the stats for the wild boar, since a pig is a domesticated animal. The wonders of the domestic hog are manifold and fast. i want to create a gnome who uses a pig as a mount. i was thikning something like a d20 for hit dice, a dex of 20, and a natural armour of +10 (due to mud, poop, and other things).

Here's the stats I'd use (sorry for bad format):

Spd 30 ft
Atk ?
Dmg ?
SQ scent
SV Fort +6, Ref +2, Will +1
Str 12, Dex 8, Con 16, Int 1, Wis 13, Cha 4

Um...not to burst your bubble, but nothing uses a d20 for HD; d12 is the max (for dragons and undead). Also +10 is WAY TOO HIGH for natural AC for a pig.

Pig
Small Animal

Hit Dice: 1d8+2 (6 hp)
Initiative: -1 (Dex)
Speed: 30 ft
AC: 12 (+1 size, -1 Dex, +2 natural)
Attacks: Bite +1 melee
Damage: Bite 1d2
Face/Reach: 5 ft by 5 ft/5 ft
Special Qualities: Scent
Saves: Fort +4, Ref +1, Will +1
Abilities: Str 11, Dex 8, Con 14, Int 2, Wis 12, Cha 6
Skills: Listen +6, Spot +6
Climate/Terrain: Any land
Organization: Pack (5-20)
Challenge Rating: 1/3
Treasure: None
Alignment: Always neutral
Advancement: -

And yes pigs bite. They can actually become aggressive and attack by biting, charging, or pushing their target.

Mmmm yes, when I was younger we got to slaughter the mean pig! hehe. My family got to take home the tongue.

I would suggest adding an advancement range of 2-3 HD (Medium Sized) for the pig. Some can get rather large, after all.

What type of pig are we talking about? Certain Pigs can get darn big.

Neat idea, riding a pig. Awaken it, get it levels. Allow it to become descently powerful and rescue the party. Tell stories of how the pig stoped the Tusken army and defeated the Dread Getza. And when people ask why it only has three legs, answer: "Cause a pig like that you don't eat all at once." :D

Aww man... I can just see it now...

Pig: "Can't you just cast Create Food?

Druid: "Not since I first tasted pork."

Pig: "You are a sick, twisted little man."

Druid: "What, don't you like getting healed?"

Pig: "YOU'RE THE REASON I HAVE TO GET HEALED EVERY #$%@#% MEAL!"

Druid: "My aren't -we- a little testy and selfish today!"

That is very funny and wrong. It would be a good renewible resource though. ;)

I though pigs were like 150-250 pounds... but then again, what do I know? I'm a city boy.

Hey CR, I am a city boy as well. I just figured they worked better as small animals, though going by weight, you are correct, they would be Medium-size.
