Pirate Borg: Buried in the Bahamas (recruiting one more crew member and waitlisting)

Moved from IC thread:
Is there a roller here on EN World that it is being used in the posts?
I use this:

Just use your character name and it will keep a log of all the rolls under that name.

Sure. In Pirate Borg combat the player rolls both to attack and defend (in contrast to 5e, where the DM rolls for the enemies). Also instead of rolling against the enemy's AC, you roll against a standard Difficulty Rating (DR, the Borg equivalent of DC) of 12.

So to make a Melee attack, roll d20 and add/subtract your Strength modifier.
Or to make a Ranged attack, roll d20 and add/subtract your Presence modifier.

If the result is over 12, you hit the enemy. Then roll whatever damage die your weapon deals. In my case, a machete does d4 damage. I rolled a 2 for damage with my attack.

To defend, roll d20 and add/subtract your Agility modifier. If the result is 11 or less, you take damage. Armor can deduct the amount of damage you take but Medium and Heavy armor also adds to the DR which makes it harder to avoid the attack. So for example if you wear Medium armor, it adds +2 to the Defense DR (so you need to roll above 14) but it deducts d4 damage if you're hit.

(Also I usually play with the house rule that ties go to the defender. So you have to roll 13 or above to hit but 12 or above to defend.)

Does this make sense?
Perfect, thanks. I have a special weapon so it says I only need to roll a 10 instead of a 12, it seems

In case it's unclear in the other thread: Each PC has two skeleton pirates they're facing, and there's a floating extra skeleton, the one who looks like a giant gorilla or ogre.

The rest of the crew of the Tarantula is engaged in their own battles to the death.
Does it matter which order we post? I’ve been waiting for my initiative turn but if we are all attacking our own Skellies, I can post sooner.

Hey, all. I didn't run the use of AI art on the other thread past everyone ahead of time. If anyone's not comfortable with that, give a shout.

I wouldn't use AI in a published work (I use royalty free art, pay for artists or do my own mediocre art when I do that), but I view illustrating play by post as a different category.

Personally, I'm OK with the use of AI art in this context.

I must have missed what is the damage inflicted by the skeletons. My character has been hit twice and I've rolled for the armor, but I don't know what is the original damage. Also, do we know how much damage can each skeleton sustain?
