Looking down on the wound, Safari realizes that he was lucky to survive.

Damage d4 = 1 - 0 (no armour). Total HP remaining = 5

But then he feels his blood boil and his stomach cramp, as the poison of the crab claw overwhelms him.

Defense. d20 roll = 8 + 0, so he fails and takes d8 = 5 points of damage. 5 - 5 =0 0 HP

The ships cook falls to his knees, the world turning around him. Then it all turns dark as he falls dead to the ground!

Burn Tokwith slashes with his machete but it bounces harmlessly off the monster's carapace.

Attack. Rolled 13 - 2 Str = 11 MISS

Wary of its venom, Tokwith leaps away from its snapping claws in the nick of time.

Defend. Rolled 10 + 3 Agl = 13 SUCCESS

((Can he use his luck dice to resist any of that damage???

Are we all rolling vs an attack?))
((Yes, and yes.))

DEVIL'S LUCK
USE 1 POINT TO:

  • Deal max dmg. with 1 attack
  • Reroll any die roll
  • Lower one test's DR by 4
  • Lower dmg dealt to you by d6
  • Neutralize a Crit or Fumble
IF DEPLETED:
After resting at least six hours, roll class’s designated die (d2 for Landlubbers) and regain that much Luck.

Desiree "The Leperchaun" Groves
HP: 11/14 Luck 1/2 (1d2);
Equipment: 2 portions of rum; 4 portions of water

Desiree gets smacked and, despite his armour, takes a vicious gash. He then starts throwing up as the poison runs through his veins.

((9 to dodge, 5 to resist poison.
4 damage resisted by 1d6 but I only rolled a 1. 4-1=3
5 poison damage. I will use my devil's luck to reduce the DR by 4, which means I make my save (if I can use it after the fact)

How many devil's luck points do we get?))
