Everything is black. A blessed peace falls upon Safari as he tumbles deeper and deeper into the void. But then something is pulling on his nose, scratching his face, chatteringen in his ear. It's Philip, his trusted companion monkey who had been hiding in Safari's satchel. Now that his master is laying there still, the little furry beast tries desperately to wake him.

I rolled a 1 for Devil's Luck, and spend that immediately to reduce the poison damage by d6 = 6. Safari lives to die another day! HP is now 5 again.

Suddenly, the cook opens his eyes to the calamity around him. He staggers up but falls to his feet, retching and vomiting black, stinking bile onto the sand. Philip the monkey screeches with joy!

As the sees Desiree brandish a burning plank and hearing Bautistas shouts, only picking up on the word "fogo" he backs up to the fire, frantically feeding it with dry sea-weed and driftwood, trying to make it larger and more terrifying to the crab-things.
