Very psyched about this one.

Initially I had the same thoughts as Ben on needing three rolls to resolve an attack, but in the session we played it didn't seem to really slow the game because the numbers were all small. I could see that being a big issue in a game with larger numbers though. For folks who are just getting curious about Pirate Borg now, Questing Beast has a video that's nominally about the new stuff, but which is really an overview.
I also haven't encountered a lot of people wearing armor, because sinking and drowning are bad.Initially I had the same thoughts as Ben on needing three rolls to resolve an attack, but in the session we played it didn't seem to really slow the game because the numbers were all small. That hasn't come up as a legit concern in the one session I ran because the setup scenario (a kraken sunk their ship, so no one wanted to risk sailing from the island just yet) made it so no one really was concerned with swimming rules just yet. I've been starting to put together some stuff for next time and they'll definitely have the option to sail if they want so they might feel differently about the risks of drowning then.I also haven't encountered a lot of people wearing armor, because sinking and drowning are bad.
