As of this very instant -- 1.072 kilobackers, and counting.

Now at 1128 backers, and we'll probably hit $50K today. We unlocked GM Screen inserts over the weekend. Woo hoo!

Looks like we're going to create a 96-page campaign expansion of adventures, unlocked at $70K. Exciting, and it means that we get to have a whole mess on short adventures linked by a common theme.

And because I'm procrastinating before I venture out into the icy wasteland of Boston to walk the dogs, here's the TimeWatch: Mythos hook from Chris Lackey, which we unlock in a little less than $8K:

The Society of the Silver Key

"Time is no longer the domain of gods and aliens. Humanity is now in control of its own destiny. Pray that our enemies never find out this truth." -- Mrs. Hazel Warren, Founder of the Society of the Silver Key.

The Society of the Silver Key is a Lovecraftian setting for the TimeWatch roleplaying game where players take on the roles of members of a 1920's secret society. Despite risks to their own health and sanity, members (also known as Key-masters) use ancient rituals to mentally project themselves into the bodies of humans from the past or future. They use these rituals to combat the mythos, unravel mysteries and stop threats to mankind.

As time travelers, the Key-masters can sense deviations in the timeline. They know through dreams and intuitions if their world has somehow been manipulated, and the Society sends agents to that point in time to try and repair any damage. When mentally traveling to another time, the Key-master must possess and inhabit another intelligent body; once in this host body, the Key-master will have access to knowledge and language of the native host. This hopefully gives them the tools they need to find clues and unravel the mystery, sometimes at great cost to one's mind and body.

Unfortunately, the Society of the Silver Key has not gone entirely unnoticed. By opening the doors of time they have revealed their knowledge and abilities to the Yithians, the Hounds of Tindalos and Yog-Sothoth itself. The Mi-go, Deep Ones and the Great Old Ones now know that such time manipulation is possible, and many non-human entities want to possess these abilities for themselves.

The Society of the Silver Key will adapt Sanity rules from Trail of Cthulhu into TimeWatch's Chronal Stability, creating agents who must avoid paradox or place their own sanity at risk.
