Piratecat's "TimeWatch" kickstarter is 1090% funded and mentioned on Boing Boing. Woot!

If that's the pattern, I'll certainly be delighted. I may have a few bits of media exposure that break up that pattern somewhat, but it's quite common. Backers seem to come in waves; none for a while, and a lot nearly all at the same time.

I'm considering backing this despite having never played Gumshoe or being likely to run a time travel game. I'd be backing purely on the basis that Piratecat has written it. I'm guessing many others have already done the exact same thing. :)

Yay! And you always have the option of backing for $1, reading the Jurassic Edition PDF, and seeing if I amuse you. If I do, you can always upgrade. If not, you're off the hook for a dollar. :D

I'll probably end up backing at the $25 digitial recruit level. I'd love to get the hardback book but, being in Australia, the $30 shipping for non-US backers is a real killer. It jumps the price up to $70. I don't think I can justify an extra $45 to get a hard copy of it. :(

I understand the fact that shipping internationally from the US is super-expensive these days, so it's not Pelgrane Press' fault, but it still makes me a sad panda.

Eventually hassle your local game store for it. Thanks for supporting it in PDF!

Funny joke from a recent podcast, except it's true: "Even at $30/book shipping, Pelgrane loses money on every book we ship to Australia and New Zealand. So if you live there and hate Pelgrane Press, buy lots of our books!"

Shipping costs are silly. Avid they seem to fluctuate so much that whatever price you based your Kickstarter on won't resemble the price when you actually ship.

One day everyone will print gorgeous hard bound books in their own homes. We're not quite there yet though.
