Piratecat's "TimeWatch" kickstarter is 1090% funded and mentioned on Boing Boing. Woot!

Just backed. This wasn't something I was terribly familiar with, but looking at it the game seems to be well designed with almost limitless possibilities. The idea of a low player count "Quantum Leap" type game is wonderful, the paradox rules make good sense, and it's Pelgrane and GUMSHOE (nuff said). I don't back many things but I don't want to pass this up.

Plus I've gamed with Piratecat at GenCon and he's seemed a good guy.

Thanks! Dino pets can't go badly, right...?

I'm about to enter the stage were either things slow down, or people keep spreading the word and we get more and more pledgers. It's exciting!

25 hours to go: TimeWatch officially launches Tuesday at noon

Hit a new stretch goal today, and we're at around 600 people and $26K. 36 hours in, that astounds me. I have no idea what our total is going to be.

I'll tell you this, though. Remarkably, I'm not having "aughh, the game isn't good enough" feelings. I'm really proud of this one, and I like it every time I sit down to add more. That's a good feeling.

Here's a thought for you: Trail of Cthulhu (and, for that matter, Call of Cthulhu and its myriad children and cousins) provides a heaping helping of historical adventures in the horror vein. Lots of rich material to mine. Maybe some general tips on how to adapt such scenarios for time travelers? I admit it can be a challenge when your player characters are empowered to approach these adventures from the outside of the timeline...

Yeah, I think this is a case of having earned it over a decade or more. I'm so happy for Kev.

Kevin has given so much time and effort to the community here over the years, and has such a good name with the gaming products he's released, that if tomorrow we saw the headline:

Kevin Kulp punches Easter Bunny

we'd probably all say, "Hope Kev didn't get hurt! What was the Easter Bunny up to?" ;)
