Planescape 3.5e - Cold Black Mask

Pierce scrambles after her impulsive, spell-slinging employer, obscurly impressed with the group's capable handling of the fighters thus far. But she was bound to Sindr by honor and gold, and she would not seek her own fight and leave him exposed.

"Cinder, get behind me!," she says, and steps forward, bulling her way to the window.

In Infernal "
Let it go little squeaker, or I will have your skull to decorate my spikes!
" Pierce snarls in a tongue both elegant and cruel, raising her spiked sheild.

OOC: Hows about an Intimidate check there at +8 Mr. DM sir? I apologize for my lack of updates.

Heinrich incants another swift prayer to Heironeous in Celestial and another gleaming blade - twin to the one that had just flickered out of existence on the floor below - springs into being behind the imp, slashing at it wickedly. The heavily armored priest then begins making his way past Sindr to get close enough to help Hagen if necessary.

[sblock=OOC]Drop Divine Protection to spontaneously cast Spiritual Weapon targeting the imp. Attacks (round 1/4) at +9 for 1d8+1 damage (no DR). Then moving to L4.[/sblock]

Sindr glares at the imp and simply states, "Drop dead." He reaches out one hand and snaps his fingers and a spark of electricity arcs from his hand towards the imp, followed by a miniature crack of thunder.
[sblock=OOC]5' step diagonally so Hagen isn't providing the imp with cover, then defensively cast (Concentration +11 vs DC 15) electric jolt with the Born of the Three Thunders feat applied. Ranged touch attack at +4 for 1d3 damage, half electric half sonic. If it hits, the imp must make a Fortitude save or be stunned, and if it fails that save it must make a Reflex save or fall prone. If it's stunned, it should fall to the street, as its flight is physical rather than magical.
Regardless of whether the imp is hit or makes its saves, Sindr is dazed for one round.[/sblock]

OOC: I'm assuming the remaining thug has advanced into square A-4.

Seeing as how the four-armed brute is busy feeling around for his gnomish opponent; István sees the arrival of the desperate and heavy-footed thug as a welcome opportunity for added misdirection. Stepping lightly (Move Silently +17), the harrier offers this new opponent a few light jabs of his crystal shard before leaping up out of his crouch (Jump +30, 5 ft. step upwards). At the top end of his leap, the gravity-defying gnome momentarily braces his feet on the wall and uses his advantageous position (+1 height bonus to hit) to lunge sideways at the thug's face (Melee rapier +12, 1d4-1 +1d6, as a skirmish attack).

István then falls silently (falling 5-ft. downwards into A-3) into a defensive stance to once more guard the exit. He watches to see whether the wildly grasping four-armed brute will be mistakenly drawn to the human thug's position by the repeated sounds his crystal shard made when striking the man.

Boarding House Siege - Round 7

István moved in an impressive display of acrobatics and once more rebounded off the wall, slashing the escape-minded thug across the face with his rapier. (Natural 20 hits; Critical confirmed. 2 WP damage, Crits ignore DR)

Upstairs, the Imp struggled futilely to pull the black mask from Hagen's grip. Frustrated, it moved in close (in the back of Sindr's mind, a mental Alarm went off) and jabbed the archivist with its scorpion-like tail. Hagen yelped in pain as the stinger pierced the back of his hand. (Attacks Hagen; AC 24 hits. 2 damage)

With a strong heave, Hagen manages to tear the mask away from the imp. He stumbles back awkwardly, the mask falling from suddenly nerveless fingers as the effects of his wound takes hold. (Opposed strength check succeeds; Fortitude save fails)

The Reave reflexively lashed out at the source of the sudden nearby commotion. Two of his heavy gauntleted fists crashed into his former companion with an uncomfortably loud crunch and the human thug spun to the floor. (Attacks square A4; 50% chance to find target succeeds; AC 21 hits; 11 damage before DR. Thug 1 falls)

Sindr eyed the intruding devil cooly. "Drop dead," the stormtouched mage growled, before cautiously unleashing another flurry of arcane energy. The imp jerked and spasmed as the violent charge struck it, but managed to stay in the air. (Concentration 29 succeeds; Ranged touch vs. AC 16 succeeds; 2 damage. Imp's Fortitude save succeeds)

Cang Lao quickly moved to assist István against his Reave opponent. Still gleaming slightly under his second "skin", Cang struck hard at his new foe. (Moves to B2; Attacks reave; AC 28 hits. 9 damage before DR)

Clearing his mind and calling on the power of his god, Heinrich called a second ghostly sword into being. The spiritual blade slashed viciouly at the imp, who screeched in pain. (Spiritual Weapon strikes AC 23; 6 damage ignoring DR. Heinrich moves to L4)

Watching the battle warily, ready to aid at a moment's notice, Pierce called out to the little fiend in an ancient, cold-sounding tongue. The imp stared at the spiker for a moment, before replying in kind.
Infernal:[sblock]"The mimir belongs to us! Mark my words, Acheron-slave, we'll have what is ours!"[/sblock] With that, the imp began glancing about for a means of escape.

"Alright, I'll tell ye, an' I won't even take any jink. All I ask is that ye try ta keep the scraggin o' my customers down a bit, an if ye hear tell o' trouble, I'd be grateful if ye'd let me know.

The shadowsyft, Bhoer, allowed a wolfish smile to cross his face. "Believe me cutter; you lann us the dark of where these primes are -- and your chant checks out -- you won't have any trouble to worry about."

Anthony is unsure what he's getting at, but decides it best to avoid getting any further into this than necessary. "That's good to know. Alright then, I left em at The Slumberin' Lamb Inn in the Clerk's ward. Ye'd better hurry though, they'll probably leave in the morn."

Poor berks, hope they have the sense to surrender when they realize how over matched they are.

The whisper-gnome winces beneath his face-concealing scarf at the sickening sound of four-armed brute striking down his cohort; with any luck the man was yet alive. Wanting to avoid further bloodshed, István rises from his defensive stance and begins moving swiftly but silently along the interior wall. After touching ground with his first two footfalls, the wayfarer hops and pivots so as to be parallel with the floor as his momentum allows him to continue running diagonally up towards the corner of the ceiling. Seeking to further disorient the brute with his receding and moving voice, István offers his opponent one final ultimatum (speaking as a free action): "Yer two friends are down. You're empty handed, blind and hurt. Surrender now or I'll put ya down too."

Continuing across the upper corner of the room, the wayfarer completes his arcing run as he begins heading back towards the ground (moving from A3 up the wall into A4 across the upper corner to B5 and finally back down into B4). Pitching back, the whisper-gnome lands softly atop the far table and gently hops down (Move Silently +17) into a flanking position opposite the shou warrior (+2 bonus to hit), his crystal shard poised to strike (readying an action to attack the reave on its turn if it does anything but surrender, Melee rapier +13, 1d4-1 +1d6, as a skirmish attack).

Heinrich calls out to Pierce across the room "Get around it," and readies himself to strike at the Imp with crushing force in its moment of distraction. Meanwhile the blessed blade of Heironeous continues its onslaught on the devilish creature, glowing with holy force.

[sblock=OOC]Heinrich's readying an action to attack the Imp if Pierce flanks with him or if it moves away, whichever comes first, and he's power attacking so he attacks at +7 for 1d8+8 damage, which means if the imp provokes an AoO for moving away he'll make the AoO at the same bonus and damage. I think the Imp's at some penalty for being in someone else's square, but I'm not sure. Also, spiritual weapon continues thwackin, +9 for 1d8+1 ignoring DR.[/sblock]

"I don't think so," Pierce growls, and strides past Sindr and over the prone Hagan to swing her shield down upon the creature, trying to bash it into the wall and impale in upon the gleaming spikes.

OOC: [sblock]Move to L5 and attack with shield spikes in a shield bash attack.[/sblock]
