Play by email adventure

First Post
Would anyone be interested in a play by email adventure? I was recalling the email games I've done in the past and what fun they were. It also is an easy way to play without having to commit real time to it. Not to mention that it's heavy dialogue for those that like it that way.

Just let me know if this floats anyone's boat. You don't have to have played in any PBEM games before. Even if you have, this will probably be different. :p Just check your email once a day or so and bam! You're roleplaying! :)

Does anyone have any experience playing on these particular play by post sites? It would be great to get some insight on them if possible.

I'm really liking this idea.

:D

I haven't had any experience playing in one but I have been reading one... it's seems pretty interesting... granted the events that would likely span two gaming sessions tend to take much much longer than two weeks and all... http://enworld.cyberstreet.com/showthread.php?t=61393 is the link to a superhero play by post game called Project: Daedelus. It's pretty cool and it looks like the DM has copies of all the character sheets and roles everyone from his computer or at his desk or what not. The Characters just roleplay and declare their actions. Seems allright granted they haven't posted for awhile *sniff* :(

I checked out both rpol.net and playbynet.com. They both look good. Maybe playbynet.com would be a little better, but I really can't tell at this point.

So who is interested? Even if there are only two players I'm willing to get started. :)

I'm game... my schedule hasn't been open for any openRPG games but who knows... maybe I can pull in a play by post :P Maybe I can even run one one of these days. Oh, what about time? with open RPG and in-person gaming time passing is rarely an issue, but in a play but post one 'episode' can last a month and only a couple days may pass while T13K an entire season passes...
