Player Commandments

Thou shalt not split the party so that some are left not gaming while the DM is dealing with others.

Thou shalt accept the DM's rulings as final.

Thou shalt work to come up with reasons your characters work together.

DM commandments:
Thou shalt not turn the game into your private novel. D&D is a game with story elements, not a story that you are writing with the players as actors.

Amen to that!

Thou shalt not talk about out of game junk when the DM is spending 30 seconds reading or drawing the map.

Thou shalt not whine when the entire group says to be quiet.

Thou shalt not attempt "puppy-dog eyes".

((What is the Gamer Manifesto? Dunno that one))

  • Thou mayst take quirks with thy character. Thou shalt not play a character that is only a collection of quirks with no personality
  • If thou takest quirks, takest thou quirks which maketh sense. Insisting that your fighter will never leave his sword behind when meeting the king is not a quirk. Nor is refusing to dine with the queen because you have decided suddenly that your character is claustrophobic.
