So, I've ben kicking around a house rule for a campaign that takes place in a fairly nonstandard world. The basic premise is that all families have some sort of innate magical abilities (in the form of sorcerer spells) that are passed down through the bloodlines.
All characters have the spells and familiar of a sorcerer equal to their character level, almost like they were built using the getalt character variant, except they do not gain increased will saves or other class abilities.
If you're interested in making a cool character that might not necessarily see use in a long term campaign and are willing to post often, go ahead and start working on a character. you can use any 3.5 material other than the book of exalted deeds. Race should be human though.
I'll be around for people who have any questions or want clarification.
