>Can it flank?

Surely not

>Can it bluff?

No, but of course you can fool people with it. It's the very reason we got that spell!

>Can it use the aid another action?

Of course not.

>Can it move?
>Can it jump in place?
>Can it run?

It will mimic you. So it does those things if you do them. (would be stupid for the images to lag behind if you run)

>Can it talk?

Hm... if you speak, they will surely say the same as you do, but they won't say something else

>Can it change clothes?

No. You aren't trying to abuse the spell for some cheap labor?

>Can it make my breakfast?

So you are....
I'd say no, but it can eat it ;)

>Can it use the bathroom for me?

You are one naughty person. Soon you will want to know if you can get intimate with your own mirror image (narcissism CAN go to far you know :p)

>Can it block True Strike?

I say True Strike will let you strike true, so it won't help you with true strike

>Can it block See Invisibility?

Sure: you aren't invisible, so See Invisible won't help. True Sight will be effective, though

>Can you use it in the same round as a speed weapon?
>Can you use it in the same round as haste?

??? What do you mean? It's a standard action to cast and then it acts of it's own. So it's the same as with every other standard action spell

>Can it make wish a for 15 feats and a +5 increase to my BAB?

You are getting greedy! 5 feats and a +1 increase to the BAB should be OK, though :D

Personally, I think the spell's for defensive use only. Nonetheless, it's a must-have, especially if you are a battlemage type (like a bladesinger).

Jeez, am I the only person who does not have a problem with this spell? It seems pretty clear to me from the description what it can and cannot do.

Edit: BTW, I know the poll is tongue-in-cheek, but I've seen other posts that seem to indicate this is a big problem for some.

Can it flank? No.
Can it bluff? No, but you can bluff (they all look like they're feinting).
Can it use the aid another action? No.
Can it move? It moves with you.
Can it jump in place? If you do so.
Can it run? If you do so.
Can it talk? It looks like you can talk. It takes a very good Listen check to determine which image is the one that's actually talking.
Can it change clothes? If you do. Can it make my breakfast? No.
Can it use the bathroom for me? Clever enemies will notice that only one is aiming properly.
Can it block True Strike? No.
Can it block See Invisibility? Yes.
Can you use it in the same round as a speed weapon? Yes. It looks like its attacking much faster than it should be.
Can you use it in the same round as haste? It also looks fast. If you use an extra partial action to move, then all the images shift (so no one can tell which one's really you.)
Can it make wish a for 15 feats and a +5 increase to my BAB? No. It has no independent intelligence, and a Wish isn't that powerful.

My opinion and I'm stickin to it!

I think that many of these questions can be alleviated by a simple house rule: When you cast this spell, put a d4 next to your miniature for each image. Any time you take an attack, roll to see if you take the hit or if an image does. Take off a die for each image. The dice do not occupy any space at all on the board, they in fact have no game effect other than to act as counters for the mirror image.

This solves the problem of flanking, space on the battle field, the need to move to keep the images "fresh" and the need to move to keep the images within 5' of eachother. No muss, no fuss, and it allows the game to keep moving without getting bogged down by the fact that this spell was poorly written.

Yikes!

8 images, 8 dice.

What a mess.

We use one 6 or 8 sided die (depending on initial number of images) and just drop the pip by one each time an image is smoked.

You're wuss. You know that your rule is wrong and you should know better. I'm disappointed in you! :p
