I'm kind of surprised The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game, The Lord of the Rings: Journeys in Middle-Earth, and Mage Knight didn't make the board game list.

I wouldn't include Journeys in Middle Earth in any "best" list. I found the whole boardgame aspect meaningless - you can just click through the adventure in the app without wasting time and effort putting out the tiles and resolving the combat.

War of the Ring is probably much more appealing to roleplayers, particularly the hidden movement and hunting elements.

That's fair enough. I don't mind JiME, but you're right, it's not an amazing game. I just thought the generally theme would apply to D&D players as much as Imperial Assault does... but only realized in hindsight that IA isn't in the top 5 games in the Dicebreakers list that Morrus was referring to, either.

The Lord of the Rings LCG is definitely one of my top 5 non-RPG games, though.
