Poll: Best movie trilogy

The movie came on, we watched with our jaws on the floor, and I felt like that little kid I had been when I was 5 years old seing Star Wars. For the LotR to bring back that magic feeling I had thought lost forever was unbelievable.

So, I have to give the nod to LotR, because it gave me back something that I thought lost forever, a sense of wonder through the eyes of a child.

That's beautiful, man.

I voted LotR, for much the same reason.

Yep. From the moment the Merivingian walks in the entrance hall and sees Monica Bellucci with Neo and the gang to when Neo flies in and saves the day from the head-to-head truck crash is possibly the most exciting, thrilling, wonderous 20 minutes of movie making history.

But that's all the movie has, and 20 minutes does not a good movie make.

That's the only part of Reloaded that I could watch again.

And don't get me started on the Burly Braw wackiness.

Maybe it's just me. I really like the Neo vs Agent Smith fight in the playground, and...hell I enjoyed the whole thing. But all the scenes with Agent Smith were great. Maybe I rank it so high becuause its one of the very few movies starring the worst actor in movie history that I really enjoy. It must be good if I can watch it again and again with him in it.

Yeah, I watch the Burly Brawl from time to time, but if often doesn't look like they're actually hitting each other, which is probably the worst thing you can do to a fight scene.

Oh, and I say that as a book snob. Books are always better than movies. But I had to force myself to read LotR. It was agony.

Not that the movies are perfect. But light years ahead of the books.
