No way to edit polls, I'm afraid. Yeah, missed quite a few- I just picked up the names mentioned by posters in the pre-25 poll and added a few off the top of my head. c'est la vie

No Elizabeth Moon, no Guy Gavriel Kay, no Marion Zimmer Bradley.

I've got to be honest though, apart from an occasional NPC they don't really influence my GMing much. And I probably take as many NPCs from non-fiction and historical fiction.
 




Edgar Rice Burroughs might also be a good addition. As would Philip Jose Farmer (World of Tiers, etc.), Gordon R Dickson (Dragon and the George, etc.), Anne McCaffrey (Pern, etc.), and even Patricia McKillip (Harper Series).
 



No Stephen R. Donaldson? Some of my favorites aren't on the list, but they may fall more within the sci-fi genre than strictly fantasy.
