AAARGH! Delete this thread! Delete it, I say! Curse you, enworld, and your fiddly rules concerning polls!

For those curious, the options were:

1. Yes; and I'll play it through

2. Yes, but only fiddle around with it

3. No, I'll wait for the Enhanced Edition

4. No, and I won't play the EE

5. No, I'm still mad about BG being more popular than Might and Magic 6

No. I just finished playing through the BG series, the IWd series, and once again couldn't get out of the mortuary in Planescape before becoming bored to death. I play through BG about once a year. I'm waiting for the "enhanced" edition anxiously, though.

I own all of them, but I just can't bring myself to play them. I just cannot stand the real time combat in them. I can't cope with controlling so many characters (I can't play RTSes, either)

Made it about halfway in PS:T before I quit. That's the furthest I've gotten in any of them.

I thought you could pause at anytime, though. Am I not remembering correctly? I haven't played them since they first came out.

Yes; pressing the space bar brought combat to a halt. If you tried to look at your inventory, however, the battle started up again. Therefore, you needed to make sure your potions of healing were already in the characters' quick slots.

Icewind Dale was more forgiving; you could pause the game, reload the quivers, etc., without worrying about rejoining the battle to find half your party dead.

I don't think it'll actually play on Win7, so I got rid of my copy when I moved, last year. I will be getting it for the iPad, though.
