This is very interesting!but who were the native South American's? Where did they come from originally. Its really interesting to see how we spread from out origins, wherever we started from.

Yes it does open up a whole lot of questions about prehistoric population movements. The standard story of the asiatic peoples crossing the Berengia Landbridge as a founding population is no longer absolute and the case for a transpacific migration reaching the Americas is a reality.

How extensive the population and cultural mingling was would be interesting to consider...

But seriously, considering they made it as far as Easter Island, it's not a stretch to think they would make it to Chile (which is pretty far away, like 2000 miles further, but definitely doable). I mean, Thor Heyerdahl went twice as far the other way (his theory was that Polynesia was populated by S. Americans) in the Kon Tiki.
