Voted Greyhawk. Others I like:

Mystara
Wilderlands (3e)
Kalamar
Scarred Lands

I like the look of Eberron but will hold on my decision on that setting.

My favorite published campaign setting? Well, it isn't published.

gateway.dll

But it's special to all of us.

As a player, I usually wind up in the Forgotten Realms. As a DM, I used to run Planescape and homebrew. I lost interest in Ravenloft, and I never cared much for Dragonlance beyond the books. I haven't played Planescape since 3e, and my horror tastes are being satisfied with Midnight, my favorite setting right now, with Dawnforge a close second.

Depending on how Eberron actually plays, I might actually start a game; I'm reserving my judgement for the moment. For non-D&D flavored games, I'm running Mutants & Masterminds.

Ravenloft, hands down. I always enjoy low-magic settings and settings which de-emphasise combat (at least random, mindless encounters which don't advance the story), and which have a dark and sinister (though not hopelessly so) atmosphere.

Eberron looks very cool. Can't vote for it until I actually look through the book.

Planescape and Forgotten Realms, both for the arse-loads of material available and the wealth of plot-hooks and cool adventure locales.

Iron Kingdoms and Midnight look very nice indeed.

Since this is the second poll I've seen of this sort this month, what do we do to improve it. Currently "Other" is taking 20% of the votes, which means some sizeable others are being left out. Would more options help? From the replies here, probably Ravenloft, Mystara/Known World, Scarred Lands, and Midnight at least should have been added to the list. Should "Homebrew" be an option?

I actually love the subject of the poll, it just seems that something is missing in every incarnation of this thread. Would it be better to do this as a checkbox instead of a radio button so people could pick more than one? Or would that saturate the results too much? Is there a way to pick a top three?

Just some ideas for future incarnations of this thread.

Here here Alhazred, one of these days I'll feel comfortable launching the Ravenloft campaign I've been planning for years now.

Wow...not sure how much of that is Scarred Lands, but with 32 votes at 11% and fourth in this poll, I'm feeling pretty proud of meself. ;)

Let me get this straight... your Handle is Gundark and you didn't vote for Ravenloft!! That's just wrong man.

Yeah well a Gundark is a creature from Star Wars, so that's where the name came from
edit: just read through all tha posts...this is the first time my name has caused this much discussion :D . BTW I think Han Solo meant that luke would be strong enough to pull the ears off....not that they're detachable... ;)

Born and bred in Greyhawk. It's the setting that I was introduced to and the one I know best and feels like home. I also like Ravenloft and Planescape in their day and have most of the Ravenloft 3e stuff, missing the last two releases. I do like the new Scarred Lands. I never really liked FR eventhough I bought the original box set. My group likes GH and some like RL. One of my good friends is quite the DL expert.
