D&D 5E PotA: Crushing Wave Temple: lights or water spouts?

Taking a look at the map of the Temple of the Crushing Wave in Princes of the Apocalypse (p. 89), I see little black protrusions with greenish halos in many rooms; you can see four for example in the altar room C25. I can't tell if they are lights, water spouts, or something else. Has anyone been able to figure out what these are?

I've always assumed they were light sources.

I wondered that too, but none of the other temples have them iirc.

Earth and Fire temples have them with different colours. Air temple doesn't have them at all...
Quite a nice idea to have them as water features. Adds to the flavour.

I stand corrected -- Air is the only one that doesn't have them. Must really be light sources then.
