Yep, the potion is nowhere near as effective as the spell. I wish the cost took this into consideration.

Look at the bright side. They could have limited potions to single target spells and a Haste Potion would not even exist. ;)

oh crap! I never noticed this! So you can only brew potions with a "target" entry? Damn.

You actually get the benefits for all five rounds. During the round in which you use a standard action to drink the potion of haste, you can also use your move action to move a good distance, you get +1 on AC, +1 on Reflex saves and +1 on attack rolls if you happen to be able to take an attack of opportunity. That's not as good as getting an extra attack, too, but those are pretty nice benefits.

Bah, the potion glass is half empty, I say! I will look gift horses square in the mouth and find clouds in every silver lining.
