Power Points or Unlimited Usage

Hi everyone,

I am slowly converting my psionic creatures to 3.5 rules, but I am having trouble deciding if they should be of an unlimited powers (most creatures found in the xph) or if they should be assigned a set amount of PP, like the mind flayer.

For example, I have a powerful (12 HD) monstrous humanoid, a type of psionic mutation that has been suped up by psionics...similiar to a psionic Bane from the Batman comic books. For an 11th level Psion, they should have 106 pp and 22 powers. I have given him 15 powers and one powerful combat ability, but should he have unlimited uses or a finite number of points. Not sure how to decide.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions,

Wait till later today and get the psionic update to the SRD.

Monsters have unlimited uses because it's a pain for a DM to keep track of PPs. I'd never let a monster that can be used as a PC race to have unlimited usage, but I think it's okay for most monsters, since they'll usually show up once and then die in any given combat before their PPs would run out.
