It is in the SRD, but remains in draft version. What I would like to know is how Paradigm plans to include the license information since I think it would have to be on each card.

I think that if such cards are sold as a set and not meant to be traded independently (i.e. not a CCG) then you could get by with one copy of the OGL in the box with the cards. I think Ryan Dancey said that would probably be okay as well.

I have to agree that the concept is good, but the price is a bit high. Might try doing this kind of thing with Access and Adobe and see what I get.

TSR published some of these about 10 years ago, and I believe the price then was about $20 each for Magic-User and for Cleric sets. These new prices seem to be in line.

 Do you realize that this is basically a 10-year price freeze on this product?

To be honest, for the cost of goods such an item represents, they should be $30, but we figured people that haven't received printing quotes for game industry sized print runs wouldn't appreciate the reasons for a $30 price tag.

If you are a spell caster, I could not think of a more usefull accessory.

How about a $30 hardcover book full of NEW spells?

Honestly, I don't mind carrying my books to a game session. And the subset of spells that I need at my fingertips is small enough that 3x5 cards work just fine, at 97 cents for about 250 blank cards.

I suspect most folks are savvy enough to reprint the spells from the SRD on their own.

Just my .02!
