[PR Silverthorne] Book of Templates Deluxe - Coming Soon!

Tir Gwaith,

I've been in contact with Paul (just sent him some forms, in fact). I can send you an email, as well, if you need it.

Krug,
When it comes to half-kobolds, we never kid :D

Cheers!

For everyone keeping track, there is now an official "half-kobold" template now in the Web Enhancement for the Deluxe Edition.

If there are two things in 3e I love, it's gnomes & kobolds. So, I couldn't resist putting something related to each in the book's bonus section.

(Don't even ask about the half-gnome template - gotcha covered! :) - I am Frilf, after all... read the sig!)

Cheers!

Expansionism at its finest

After a lovely heart-to-heart with Chris Sims, my trusty co-author, we have decided to pile a few additional templates into the mix, bringing the total for this bad boy to 85!

The reasons? There are many. OK. There are three.

One - The templates were completed anyway.
Two - Chris thought that they were good enough to warrant inclusion.
Three - The more templates in one place, the better!

Also, we are working on some other top-secret, yet very exciting template-related things. More announcements to come.

The manuscript has undergone extensive editing, cleaning, revising, and so forth and should be ready for launch shortly. We apologize for the delays but between real life, the day job, and needing to eat and sleep, this project has been put off a little longer than we'd hoped.

What this means for the consumer:
Even more templates and other goodies right out of the box!

"What about my web enhancement?" you may ask?
There will be one. Its contents will be announced after the launch of the main product, so hang tight. We'll try to make it as cool as possible, too :)

The semi-bad news: The price on the Deluxe Edition will be higher than on the original Book of Templates. Sorry to have to do this, but the added costs of art, editing and writing have consequences on the old pocketbook. The price will be US$10, on introductory sale for $8.00 at RPG Now.

The semi-good news: Even though the price will be slightly higher, new customers will be getting nearly four times the content of the original BoT. The original was in the neighborhood of 60 pages. The upgrade will clock in at over 220 pages. The project has surely grown - for the better! :)

The silver lining: The free upgrade deal's still on for those customers who already own the original product! Lucky, lucky! :)

Cheers!
Ian

I have had the distinct pleasure of being bed ridden since last Saturday due to a respitory infection & have just today(Saturday) checked my email for the impatiently waited on announcemwnt of the ready to go Deluxe book of Templates & found that the acoount I use for my rpgnow purchases was filled past its limit & that I have lost at least three days worth of email. So, my question is has DBoT come out yet & if so, does anyone know who i can contact at rpgnow to get my sickly hands on it?:D

take care all

I just want to get this straight. If I buy the BoT now from RPGnow will I get the new one as an upgrade or is it too late for that and I'll just have to buy the deluxe version when it comes out?

The book isn't out yet, but it is on its way. I leave it to Frilf to give you the actual date.

Yes, I get all the hard jobs :) I am compiling all the final edits and other details to send to Khur this week for his final once-over. Then, it's off to Phil Reed for layout and a cover from Christopher Shy. Then, we release it. Hopefully, before the end of the month, but I make no guarantees.

Cheers!
Ian
