PrC's and scrolls

I notice that, unlike all the core classes capable of spellcasting (even the ranger and the paladin), the assassin and the blackguard do not have access to read magic. Does this suggest that they can't use scrolls (arcane or divine, respectively)?

I suppose they could use Spellcraft to try to read a scroll, but since it isn't a class skill for either one, that would be quite difficult.

(They could also try Use Magic Device, which is a class skill for the assassin, but that's not the kind of scroll use I was talking about.)

Does this seem odd to anyone?

It does sound a little odd. But as both classes are not primarily spellcasting classes it doesn't seem like that big of an issue to me. It might even be intentional. I think that other prestige classes may also have the same problem. If you don't like it you can either add Spellcraft to their class skills or Read Magic to their spell lists.
