Prestige Class for my Fighter?

Vyndian

First Post
I was hoping for some help finding an appropriate Prestige Class for my fighter. He's currently LVL 8 (Human). Here are the stats:

STR: 14
DEX: 14
CON: 12
INT: 14
WIS: 10
CHA: 14

My feats include: Combat Expertise, Dodge, Mobility, Spring Attack, Whirlwind Attack, Negotiator, Combat Reflexes, Exotic Weapon Proficiency (Spiked Chain), and Leadership.

My skills are: Diplomacy (7 total), Knowledge (History) (7 total), Intimidate (13 total), Ride (13 total), and Swim (13 total). I am aware two of those are not fighter class skills. That is why they are much lower.

Before becoming an Inspector, which is basically a Police Chief/Detective, my human fighter was in a special group of the royal army that specialized in advanced tactics and weapons (comparable to SWAT, hence the spiked chain).
Now I'm being sent in an official capacity to oversee an adventuring group in their quest to find a particularly nasty magical artifact.
My Cohort (via Leadership) is a Scholar (a class me and my DM came up with together, basically an Expert) that is being sent with me so that his unique skill set can help our cause.

My character is an inspirer, not your average 'I like to smash things' fighter, and I would like a Prestige Class that plays on that without completely giving up my martial combat, or at least doesn't get in the way of roleplaying an intelligent, charismatic character.

Any help would be appreciated!

Exotic Weapon Master (Complete Warrior) seems right up your alley.

I suggest two levels for the stunts

Flurry of Strikes: When wielding an exotic double weapon or a spiked chain with both hands, the character can elect to use a full attack action to make a flurry of strikes. When doing so, he may make one extra attack in the round at his full base attack bonus, but this attack takes a —2 penalty, as does each other attack made in that round and until the exotic weapon master's next turn. The extra attack may be with either end of the double weapon.

And

Uncanny Blow: When wielding a one-handed exotic melee weapon in two hands, the character can focus the power of his attack so that he deals extra damage equal to his Strength bonus ×2 instead of his Strength bonus ×1-1/2. If he has the Power Attack feat, he treats the weapon as twohanded for purposes of determining his bonus on damage rolls.

Then you might consider going into Kensai. Kensai lets you customize your spiked chain, and gives you a few interesting abilities for combat, leadership and social situations.

Your feats and skills aren't set up for either PrC, but if you would like to retrain your feats, there are retraining rules in the PHB2. Your DM may even let you rebuild or waive minor requirements if you ask nicely. All you really need to do to get into EWM, for example, is 3 ranks in Craft: Weapon since you can pick up Weapon Focus from your 9th character level, and that's a very minor skill change.

Fighter 8/EWM 2/ Kensai 10.

Now, there are a lot of other builds you can make if this doesn't appeal to you. Let us know your thoughts.
