Does anyone know of any ?
I believe you could call warshaper one but I think thats it. all the other druid PrC's are based around wildshape and have class abilites based on wildshape. Anyone know if they intend to make any PrC's for the shapeshifter varient ? or simply PrC's for creatures that can change shape as a supernatural ability , a monster/npc class perhaps ?
Personally I've looked at combining
at low levels
Druid/Psychic Warrior (a good list of powers to supplment shited form, bit light on point per day though)
Druid/Sorc (similar advantage using buffs , mage shield , enlarge person etc)
Druid/Monk (Flurries and Wis to AC)
Druid/Rogue (extra sneak dmg to low dmg natural weapons)
While these are all very nice mixies initally and potentially work quite well at low levels they start falling over at higher levels, some work with a min/max which is not really good RP imho
Druid/Psychic Warrior (psy war gets too few power points to simple take a few levels and have it make any real difference, to many psy war levels and he'd be better off staying in his normal form while fighting as low lv druid shape limted to 1 attak)
Druid/Sorc (Druid19/Sorc1 gets you a nice way to go one step larger for 10 rounds but thats easily dispelled, and stackin to sorc makes no sense as polymorph makes it obsolete)
Druid/Monk (the typical one level of monk stays handy when stacking on druid levels but is a cheap way of getting an extra attack and well its Lawful Neutral or nothing.)
Druid/Rogue ( a couple levels of rogue get you a nice little bit of extra sneak dmg maybe 2or3d6 but doing a sneak attack as a huge earth elemental well its a bit of a stretch since how is a big fist of stone supposed to seek out a crital spot on a small oppenent when the fist is as big as they are ?
stacking towards rogue the predator form becomes very weak restricted to a single attack really only useful outside of full round attacks.)
So you see although somewhat workable it basically comes down to mix/maxing and alot of flavourless options. perhaps the shapeshifter ability would do better in a core class of its own with its own non-druid class benefits.
